ASSEMBLY AREA   All entries will be given a placement number.  These numbers are for the order of the parade and for judging.  These numbers will also
direct each entry to the approximate location in the assembly area for the lining up.  Line-up will be at the Hitchiner Mfg Company Parking Lot just off
Union Street and will begin as follows:
10:00 AM   Large Floats (Floats on Flatbeds, Tractor Trailer Floats, and Motorized non-pulled Floats)
11:00 AM  Small Floats (Floats on Pick-Up Truck beds, Small Trailers, Decorated Autos)
12:00 Noon  Marching Bands & Marching Units
12:15 PM   Antique Cars, Politicians, Animal Units, Decorated Bicycles, and other Motor Vehicles
Horse entries MUST supply their own clean-up crew to clean up both the line-up area and the parade route.

FLOATS  It is the responsibility of each entrant to see to it that their float clears all obstacles (tree limbs, traffic lights, overhanging utility wires).  Floats
must not exceed 13 feet in height, 8 feet in width, and 40 feet in length.  DAMAGE TO ANY PROPERTY PUBLIC OR PRIVATE, CAUSED BY ANY
ENTRY, WILL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE ENTRANT AND NOT THE PARADE COMMITTEE, LITTLETON CIVIC BOOSTER CLUB,
OR THE TOWN OF LITTLETON.
At the conclusion of the parade, any and all individuals riding on floats MUST exit the float before that entry
returns to the normal flow of traffic.

NOTHING IS TO BE THROWN FROM PARADE UNITS (NO EXCEPTIONS)  For the safety of individuals (including children) along the parade
route, items such as candy, trinkets, promotional items and/or brochures may NOT be thrown from any entry.  Walkers with your entry may hand out items,
as long as they are given directly to the spectators and not thrown.

NO WATER PISTOLS, SQUIRT GUNS OR WATER CANNONS  The parade committee and the Littleton Civic Booster Club do not want the
responsibility of  spectators getting wet through the use of these items.

UNIT POSITION  All units participating in the parade MUST keep a minimum distance of three (3) cars lengths between them and the unit in front of them
AT ALL TIMES.  If the unit in front of you stops for ANY reason, make sure that you maintain the proper distance.  Likewise, don’t “fall behind” to create
gaps in the parade.  You will be spaced accordingly when the parade steps out.

DRUGS & ALCOHOL WILL NOT BE TOLERATED either before, during or after the parade in any public place.  Please do not allow anyone involved
with your entry to jeopardize your participation by ignoring this rule.

PERFORMANCES ALONG THE PARADE ROUTE  Due to the rules and regulations set forth by the New Hampshire Department of Transportation, it
will not be possible for entries (marching bands, drill teams, etc…)  to stop during the parade to perform.  With advance notice, arrangements may be made
for your group to do a short performance following the parade in the carnival area.

FIRE DEPARTMENTS AND EMERGENCY VEHICLES  Due to possible equestrian units and marching bands near you and small children along the
parade route, we request that no sirens or air horns be used.  However, any and all lights may be displayed.

JUDGING AND TROPHIES  Judging will take place at 12:00 Noon before the parade.  Three judges will be selected from the Littleton area.  Your entry
must be in position and ready to go by 12:00 Noon to qualify for the judging process.
